My waves and/or curls look gud the day I wash them and put curl cream. I wake up the next day and they look horrible so I have bo choice but to do this

I have a question why when I do this and sleep with it my hair on the top gets frizzy so i get beautiful curls down but a messy hair up even I brush it ot apply a serum it doesn't work it looks so frizzy.... Please help me

After some time it settles back together into its waves and curls for me
